Self-Care Workshop with Guest Instructor Sun, Nov 5, 2017 at 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

90 minute workshop
$40 per person
It's that time of year again...if you don't take care of yourself, you won't be able to properly take care of everyone else.
Self-care should be a top priority in our lives but seems to be regularly left off of the TO-DO list. Healthy boundaries, goal setting, meditation and energy work (such as Reiki) are pure and natural expressions of the desire to engage in that care.

In this interactive workshop, we will dive into the above techniques through discussion and an enlightening bodywork exercise. These practices promote the return of self-care to the forefront of our stories. We will conclude our afternoon with a gentle, loving meditation that travels through 3 of the main chakras/energy centers in our bodies and allow ourselves to soak up the healing, supportive energy of those around us.

As we focus on what healing modalities and energy work offer (the recharging of our minds and bodies and the rebalancing of our chakra’s energies), we find that we can confidently put our best foot forward not only our own lives but in the lives of those around us and even in the world.
This workshop will offer you an opportunity to indulge in a time of soul reconnection and community. Wear comfy clothes and be ready to shower yourself with empowering self-love and vitality.

YOGA NIDRA: The Practice of Deeply Layered Relaxation & Yogic Sleep with Dan Guerra with Guest Instructor Sun, Dec 10, 2017 at 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm

End your weekend with 75 minutes of Bliss.
What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a powerful, evidence-based practice that transforms the negative effects of stress on our bodies and minds. It is a process of learning how to relax consciously through the different layers of our bodies and minds, addressing muscular, emotional, psychological, and subtler tensions that get accumulated through our lives. The regular practice of Yoga Nidra has addressed many physiological problems affected by these tensions including hypertension, chronic pain, diabetes, migraines, asthma, ulcers, digestive disorders, and skin diseases. For those with healthier bodies, the practice can increase well being and help us better achieve our life goals through visioning.

Dan Guerra, Psy.D. is a psychologist, mindfulness instructor and a hatha yoga teacher with over 15 years experience teaching yoga and mindfulness, internationally. His focus is on helping individuals and groups understand the deeper and more subtle elements of their bodies and minds to bring about healing, relaxation, and influence over their health and well-being. He draws upon the wisdom of both Eastern and Western approaches for mind-body healing. Dan is a co-author of the book, From Stressed to Centered: A Practical Approach to a Healthier and Happier You, available on Amazon and has a psychotherapy practice in New York City.
